Local Business Organizations and OSU Greeks unite to partake in a Community Service Initiative.
Columbus, OH, March 25, 2010. As part of the festivities for Greek week at the Ohio State Campus; the local chapters of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Inc and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., have joined forces to host there first Annual, “Que-Delta Weekend” beginning Wednesday, March 31, through April 3, 2010. This weekend will feature a host of events; including the anticipated community involvement event entitled; “Coleman Love Community Clean-Up Project”. This event is Pioneered by the Look Ma’ No Hands Organization; a local Non Profit known for empowering the next generation of young adults with the tools necessary; from education to community relations, to Inspire young minds, to reach new horizons by becoming the leaders of the future.
Along with Look Ma’ No Hands, other local partners contributing to this event will be; The Columbus Urban League, U.C.P.I. Program, Radio One Columbus and Sling Shot Media Group LLC. The goal of this event is to gather a community of individuals, from all different fields and backgrounds across the Columbus metro area, to unite in hopes of creating an environmental difference one neighborhood at a time, starting with Mt. Vernon. This project will take place on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at ten o’clock in the morning, and the meeting location will be Zanzibar Brews, in the historic King Lincoln District. Various cleaning tools will be provided to the first 75 participants.
